We are MULTHEOR Indonesia, a Multi-Country Training Hub for Health Emergencies Operational Readiness. As collaborative initiative between the Republic of Indonesia and the World Health Organization (WHO), has delegated the Republic of Indonesia Defense University (RIDU) as the first Centre of Excellence in the Southeast-Asia region.

We focus on operational readiness for health emergencies and the deployment of Emergency Medical Teams (EMTs) by following curriculum, modules, and guidelines created by the WHO to meet the international standards’ quality.

Our Vision

To become a leading provider of Emergency Medical Team (EMT) training and certification in the Southeast Asia region at the Republic of Indonesia Defense University (RIDU) as the Centre of Excellence, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and other partners, and to contribute to the global health security and resilience.

Our Mission

To deliver high-quality EMT training and certification programs, based on the World Health Organization EMT standards and modules, to health professionals and emergency responders from various countries and contexts, and to support the development of a Multi-Country Training Hub for EMT capacity building and coordination.

Our Aims

  1. To provide an opportunity for new team members to engage collectively and to enhance the EMT’s capability to deploy as temporary support to a local health system.
  2. To introduce important concepts and skills regarding ethical practice, standard operating procedures, interaction with other health actors, team self-sufficiency, staff safety and security, and simulation exercise during EMT deployment.
  3. To foster civil-military collaboration in handling future health challenges and to strengthen the Center of Excellence at the RIDU.
  4. To increase Indonesia’s capacity related to health security and emergency preparedness, especially the role of the Ministry of Defense and its resources.
